My 83 year old Dad's favorite place and he is extremely picky. He hates most restaurant food.
We get there when they open to shorten the wait times which can be a little long for the food. Check their hours and days open before driving over. We don't mind waiting to get freshly cooked food.
Today we had chicken tenders, crab cakes, baked potatoes, fried okra and coleslaw. All delicious. Their tartar sauce is yummy. Their desserts are also beautiful and delicious but you won't have room for it!
The meals sometimes come in different sizes. I learned not to order the biggest portion because there's no way to eat it all. I judged which size by the price. I had no idea that a $7.95 crab cake meal would be plenty of food. It had 2 cakes, coleslaw, 3 circular hush puppies that I thought were onion rings at first, and my choice of side which was okra today.
I never would have gone here on my own not being big on seafood but they have the best chicken tenders around. So try it if you aren't in a hurry. -

So what else can happen?
My girlfriend took me to lunch and since I live in Fayetteville I decided to go to Bay breeze up on Tara Boulevard.
The place was virtually empty and so we figured we could get great service, boy were we wrong. The waitress charity started out OK but when we started to ask for items like hot sauce and butter she seem to be bothered by that. when the food came out my fish I could tell immediately have been re-dropped into the grease and it. When I said to her that it looked like it had been re-dropped or refried she snapped back and said no we don't recook fish.
When she finally came back to the table I ask if she could get me some fresh fish that wasn't as greasy and she agreed. so she took the fish away in about 20 minutes later she came back with the fish yes it was cooked better but I had finished eating all of my other items on my plate.
She left again and we had to ask another waitress to bring us to go plates because at this point I'm full. So in a very condescending tone she asked my friend do you want anything else? Is it one check or two?
So my friend at this point who is very upset says one check and so she proceeds to walk away.
Fast forward we were about to leave and so we were going to get some dessert to take with us so when we approached the counter there was a young man in all black and another young lady that had on a blue top with black pants and they were involved in a very lengthy conversation.
We were not acknowledged we were not ask if we needed anything and after we stood there trying to decide what we were going to get the gentleman after talking with his coworker comes from behind the counter and began to walk away!
As he tried to walk away I said so you're not going to ask us if we want anything? And so he proceeds to tell my friend and me well I don't work back here but I can get get you something I just can't ring you up. That was it for me, I turned around and said you can't get me anything and I walked out the door.
I normally get my food to go and this was the first time in a long time that I sat in there but I can tell you this was by far the worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time.
WORST SERVICE EVER! MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED -

Stopped by for lunch. Clean and inviting restaurant. Good menu with an extensive range of options. The lunch menu has a fairly large amount of choices for under $10. I got the super combo. It came with a ton of fried shrimp, a large deviled crab, two chicken fingers, three hush puppies, coleslaw and choice of a side. I got cheese grits. All for $8.95. It was a large portion so I ended up leaving with a to-go box. It tasted good too. I'll definitely put this in my rotation.

I really enjoy this restaurant because the atmosphere is so creative and authentic. The servers are always really nice and it's a genuine kindness not just a show to get a tip. The crab legs are where it's at but all the other stuff is good too. I'm including full menu pics with this review.

This is one of my many favorites. The food is always hot and fresh. Beware there maybe little wait but it's worth it. It's a great place for birthdays. They don't take reservations on the weekend. The portion are large. They have a great selection of desserts. I enjoy my meal every time.
